There is a growing problem of richer countries disposing of their waste in poorer countries. Some businesses try to save money by sending their waste to countries whose rules are not as strict.
Some children work seven days a week recycling batteries. Without any protection from the dangerous chemicals inside, these children often get cancer.
If we recycle our batteries properly we can reduce the amount of people who are exposed to these terrible working conditions and can save them from sickness.
